This is an Arts and Crafts inspired entertainment center we designed and built.  A + C would expect quarter sawn fumed oak.  About twenty feet away is an all maple kitchen.  We decided oak would create too much dissonance.  For contrast we used walnut.  The blue tape helped us do touch up during the installation.

The bridge supporting the monitor and speakers is black cleft slate. The stretchers that hold the bridge together have keyed mortise and tenon joints.  The keys are walnut and the shape is derived from the speakers.

The pulls and hinges are Stickley licensed replicas from Rockler Woodworking.

The cabinets with four doors house the components.  The slot at the bottom is the cooling intake.  There are slots in the top for outflow.  The bridge has two concealed cable trays.
