Just read that Paolo Soleri died on April 9th.

If you don't know his work try googling Arcology and Arcosanti.

When I was a kid he was doing what I was dreaming.

Finding ways for architecture to relate in wholesome ways to Our World.

Like most created work

in some ways his's timeless -- in others -- painfully time-bound.

While you're at it -- you might Google Broadacre City.  Frank Wright's fantasy for American's life.

Soleri was an apprentice at Taliesan -- Wright's school.  I wonder if he worked on the Broadacre model and how much they formulated his ideas when he started his mega projects.

Mega means city designs for 1M inhabitants. . .

RIP Senior Soleri.
